Soybean Hydrophobic Protein Response to External Electric Field: A Molecular Modeling Approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
The molecular dynamic (MD) modeling approach was applied to evaluate the effect of an external electric field on soybean hydrophobic protein and surface properties. Nominal electric field strengths of 0.002 V/nm and 0.004 V/nm had no major effect on the structure and surface properties of the protein isolate but the higher electric field strength of 3 V/nm significantly affected the protein conformation and solvent accessible surface area. The response of protein isolate to various external field stresses demonstrated that it is necessary to gain insight into protein dynamics under electromagnetic fields in order to be able to develop the techniques utilizing them for food processing and other biological applications.

Response of A Saline Solution Containing A Macromolecule To An External Electric Field
The dynamical behavior of a model for body fluids in response to an external electric field is computationally investigated for communication frequencies. The effect of an applied potential difference between two electrodes in a saline solution containing a rodlike macromolecule is studied by solving the Poisson and ion continuity equations simultaneously using the finite element method (FEM). ...

In this paper, the effect of titanium dioxide nanoparticles on the response of the freely suspended nano-fluid was investigated in an external electric field. Applying the external electric field to liquid film carrying electric current caused the layer rotation. It was due to the surface charge response of the layer to the electric field. The effect of surface charge on titanium dioxide nano-...

A molecular dynamic (MD) modeling approach was applied to evaluate the effect of external electric field on gliadin protein structure and surface properties. Static electric field strengths of 0.001 V/nm and 0.002 V/nm induced conformational changes in the protein but had no significant effect on its surface properties. The study of hydrogen bond evolution during the course of simulation reveal...
متن کاملCloning and molecular characterization of TaERF6, a gene encoding a bread wheat ethylene response factor
Ethylene response factor proteins are important for regulating gene expression under different stresses. Different isoforms for ERF have previously isolated from bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and related genera and called from TaERF1 to TaERF5. We isolated, cloned and molecular characterized a novel one based on TdERF1, an isoform in durum wheat (Tri...
